Privacy and data

The short version of what happens to recordings and results. The full rules are in the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.

#Where your data lives

Recordings are scored by Spelly’s own model, on Spelly’s own servers in Europe. Your voice and your results are never sent to an outside AI service.

A few outside services handle things that are not your voice: sending emails, signing in with Google, payments by organisations through Stripe, and YouTube videos in some blog articles. See the Privacy Policy.

#Recordings

Spelly may keep recordings and their results so learners can look back at them. Recordings are never sold or used for advertising. A recording helps improve Spelly’s scoring only if the learner allows it for that recording, and it stays on our servers in Europe.

#Who sees what

Learners see their own recordings and results. Teachers in Spelly for Schools see summaries only, such as scores and when a student last practised. They cannot hear recordings.

#Deleting data

Learners can delete their account from their profile at any time. That removes their recordings, progress and Speechprint. Only anonymous sound-level statistics remain, with no audio, no text and no link to the person.

#Agreements

Schools and businesses can ask us for a data processing agreement.
